Current Series: A Generous Faith: An Exploration of the Letter to the Philippians
When: October 5 – November 23, 2025
From October 5 – November 23, 2025, we will walk through the book of Philippians with the notion of generosity as our filter. To live and walk a Generous Faith (orthodoxy + orthopraxy) we must see it as a posture of reception from God who is abundantly generous in His love to us, as a posture of open-handedness towards others, as a posture that releases control, as a posture of the sharing of resources, and a posture that longs to cultivate space of flourishing. Being generous is more than giving away money and possessions (though that is part of it) but is what it means to live Jesus-ly: holding truth, faith, and relationships with humility, hospitality, and abundance rather than scarcity, fear, or defensiveness.
I long to be generous and live out a generous faith. I long for our community to be generous and live out a generous faith. I believe our calling as teachers is to help in this endeavor as shepherd our little community.
