Be the Bridge 101 Cohort for Students

July 1 @ 7:00 pm - August 5 @ 9:00 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until July 29, 2020

Be the Bridge (BTB) is a biblically-based curriculum for racial bridge-building. Warehouse 242 has offered three BTB cohorts in the past two years, and we are grateful for how the Spirit has already been working in our community through these groups. We invite you to join a Be the Bridge 101 cohort specifically designed for students and facilitated by leaders from Warehouse 242. Be the Bridge 101 differs from the main BTB curriculum by primarily exploring some of the basic tenets of whiteness. Understanding these tenets are a crucial step in our journey of following Jesus and fully engaging in the work of racial reconciliation, which involves repentance and an ongoing process of transformation. While these cohorts are geared toward those who are white, anyone is welcome, and we pray that anyone who participates will find an opportunity to learn, grieve, heal, and experience transformation in Christ. When you register, you’ll have a chance to indicate your preference for virtual or in-person (socially-distanced) gatherings, and the leaders will adopt the best format based on group consensus. Register here.
