8:30 am

Divine Conspiracy Cohort

January 26 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 am
|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 8:30 am on Sunday, repeating until March 15, 2020

For many of us, we can celebrate our love for Jesus but we do not have regular, healthy, honest patterns of true discipleship. Dallas Willard, in his book The Divine Conspiracy: Rediscovering our Hidden Life in God, aptly writes, “We fail to be disciples only because we do not decide to be. We do not intend to be disciples. It is the power of the decision and the intention over our life that is missing. In this cohort we will engage this brilliant book which skillfully weaves together biblical teaching, popular culture, science, scholarship, and spiritual practice, revealing what it means to "apprentice" ourselves to Jesus. Using Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount as his foundation, Willard masterfully explores life-changing ways to experience and be guided by God on a daily basis, resulting in a more authentic and dynamic faith. Worship Gathering

January 26 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Sunday, repeating indefinitely

Every Sunday, our community gathers in a converted trucking terminal in the shadow of Uptown to learn more about Jesus, and experience vibrant community together. We meet at 10:00am and offer a full Kids Ministry for children ages 4-weeks-old through fifth grade. The Warehouse Students in 6th-12th grades join us in the arena. Warehouse is about a lot more than just a Sunday morning service, but we value that opportunity to come together for an experience that we consider distinctly “Warehouse,” when we can pursue Jesus and community authentically through music, teaching, spoken word, and visual art.

Community Meal

January 26 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Kate Winslet once famously said, “The things that make me happiest in the whole world are going to the occasional picnic; big family gatherings, and being able to go to the grocery store - if I can get those things in, I’m doing good.”  These are wise words and we ought to stop, pause, listen, and apply - remember, she is the one who survived on the raft.  Therefore, Warehouse 242 will celebrate our first annual Winter Picnic Big Family Gathering Sunday January 26th immediately after our worship service (approximately 12 noon).  You are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch or quickly head out to a local restaurant or grocery store for take out and bring it back to the church.  We will provide drinks and paper products unlike Kate providing a few inches of space on that large raft - just sayin’… All kidding aside, as we enter into a new year, it is our desire to gather, connect, fortify our relationships, learn from one another, listen deeply, and create new connections.  Jesus was supremely committed to connecting with all sorts of people over a shared meal - at Warehouse, we think this is a pattern to mimic as we continue to learn what it means to be Christ like.  Please join us on January 26th with your friends and family.
