THE ART OF NEIGHBORING READING PLAN
Sunday, October 13, 2019
This weekend Warehouse begins a new series! Warehouse is one of around 100 churches in the Charlotte doing this very important series on neighboring. A great addition to this series is the YouVersion reading plan. You can find this week’s reading plan here.
ASHLEY PARK UNIFORM GIFT REGISTRY
Ashley Park has been ranked as the highest poverty school in the district. One of the implications of that ranking is that there are students who need help acquiring uniforms to last throughout the year. There is no financially supportive PTA, and the school relies on Community Partners to stock the clothes closet so that replacement uniforms are not paid for out of the pockets of the staff and teachers. In response, Warehouse has set up a Target Gift Registry! Go online and pick out some items from the registry. Many of them are currently on sale – you can get a shirt and pants for $12. You can choose to have your items delivered directly to Warehouse 242 where we will sort them and deliver them.
Friday, October 25, 2919 ~ 7:00pm
Social Pioneers is the Warehouse adult social group that meets each month around the city. This group is open to all adults regardless of age or phase of life. This month the Social Pioneers are getting funky at the Fall Funk Fest! This free event will have performances from your Momma’s Big Fat Booty Band, Akita, and Von Hunter, food trucks, pop up shops, pumpkin chucking contest, bobbing for apples contest, flannel contest and much more!
LORIEN ACADEMY UPWARD CREATIVITY FUNDRAISER
Tuesday, October 29, 2019 ~ 6:00pm
This year’s event will feature keynote speaker David Butler and the Lorien student art is being paired with art created by the artists at ArtWorks 945 for an unbelievable show. ArtWorks artists are homeless or are recently housed. Despite their circumstances, these artists jumped at the chance to make a difference by making art, as every one of them wished they had more access to the arts in their youth.
MARRIAGE LISTENING WORKSHOP
Saturday, November 2, 2019 ~ 9:00am
Here at Warehouse, we value strong healthy marriages. We are creating a culture where it is safe to talk about our marriages and work together on strengthening and protecting our relationships. We invite you to attend a MARRIAGE LISTENING WORKSHOP where you will have an opportunity to connect with one another and strengthen your communication skills. Childcare will be available.
