Headlines & Sunday Announcements
CHANGED CHOICES OPEN HOUSE
May 5 @ 2PM / 501 Hawthorne Ln, 3rd Floor
Come out for an experiential tour of Changed Choices, focusing on the impact of incarceration on families. Enjoy light refreshments and hear from staff and volunteers about how Changed Choices supports incarcerated moms and their families.
They are located on the 3rd floor of Hawthorne Lane United Methodist Church.
TACO LUNCH AND SALSA COOK-OFF
Sunday, May 19 / Right After The Worship Service
Stick around after church for a Taco Lunch! $6/person or $15/family for tacos and all the fixings. Because of the overwhelming response to the chili cook-off, we are adding a salsa cook-off to this lunch event! Let Henry know if you have a fabulous bowl of salsa you’d like to submit for the competition. All proceeds go toward the English as a Second Language mission trip to the DR this summer.
MISSION CRITICAL COMMUNITY MEETING
Immediately following the service today there will be an important community meeting that we hope you’ll stick around for. The participating members will vote on an elder candidate, Carla Love, and then we’ll update you on upcoming strategic and staff changes. If you are not able to make it, there will be an email going out with a link to the audio later this evening.
