The Skinny: November 5, 2017
Headlines & Sunday Announcements
Friday, November 10 @7:30pm / The Movement Center
Come out for an evening focused on prayer and corporate worship with our friends, neighbors, and allies in West Charlotte. As one Church, we will respond to Jesus through listening, praying, and fellowship. The night will be hosted inside the Movement Center in the lower level at the Missions Place [2225 Freedom Drive]. Parking is available both in the top lot and in the gravel lot below. No childcare available for this event, though kids are encouraged to come!
Tuesday, November 14 @ 7pm
Food is the backbone of culture and a basic human need, yet many Charlotte residents have no access to fresh, nutritious food, and many more have no idea where or how their food was grown. What would it take for the “food deserts” in Charlotte to disappear? What if neighborhoods with high-risk of food insecurity not only had greater access to fresh food but also became hubs for sustainable, collaborative, joyful food production? How might a transformed food culture impact the thriving of these neighborhoods as a whole? Come interact with an expert panel of master gardeners, community activists, social entrepreneurs, and non-profit leaders as we collaborate together for food justice and thriving neighborhoods.
Saturday, November 18 @6pm
Kids Warehouse Families, let’s gather Saturday, November 18th for an evening of fun and simply being together. We will watch the movie “Sing” and we will provide popcorn and hot cocoa.
Everyone is welcome. Eat before you come, or bring your own dinner to eat here…
Coffee Room doors open at 5:30, “Sing” (our feature presentation) will start promptly at 6:00, and runs 1 hr 45 min.
