West Side Community Listening Project Big Picnic

July 26 @ 5:30pm / Seversville Park

In partnership with the West Side Community Land Trust, QC Family Tree interns and high schoolers have been engaged in a Community Listening Project this summer. Throughout the past several weeks, they have visited with West Side residents and asked them to share stories on “What makes you feel at home? What is your favorite part of this neighborhood?” They have collected audio and visual stories and will post them online as well as give them to local visual and musical artists to reinterpret in various forms. On July 26th, the music, visuals, and other community engaged art will be exhibited at a big picnic celebration of this project.

Warehouse Men’s Retreat / SAVE THE DATE

October 20-22 in Montreat

The Warehouse Men are heading back to beautiful Montreat this Fall. There will be feats of strength, hiking, brewery tours, and all manner of manly-type stuff to do. And there will be some great opportunities to connect with other guys in the community. Matt Bradner is the guest speaker this year, so you won’t want to miss it. Registration will officially open in August, but go ahead and mark your calendars!
